Through a passing conversation in a local shop about this new venture, gne were made aware of a local boy and his parents who were trying to raise funds for an electric wheelchair. gne supported this cause for 6 months until, along with numerous people's help, Harrison's family were able to make the purchase.

The following just a brief insight into his life...

Harrison Mcquillan is 13 years old and has Cystic Fibrosis and attends Dixon City Academy in Bradford. He is on 24 hour oxygen and at the moment is on the transplant list waiting a lung transplant. He goes for regular IV's at St James Hospital, and is admitted anything from every 2 to 6 weeks for 2 weeks at a time, sometimes he has home IV's, which his mother has to administer.

Harrison has a passport in his left arm for the IV's and a gastrostomy tube in his stomach to feed him throughout the night. He has to take 17 different medications per day, some of these more than once.

Harrison depends on either myself or my partner to take him out, he does have a wheelchair, but an electric one would give him some independance of his own.

Harrison will never be a typical teenager until he has his transplant, but he is always cheerful and just gets on with life.
