Charity Cycle
9th April 2009
Ian Mitchelson, Group Sales Director is currently recovering from Testicular Cancer and despite only being able to start exercising in March has decided to raise funds and support for Orchid Cancer Fund...
During Ian's treatment he found Orchid Cancer Trust a great source of reliable, accurate information at a time when answers and help are really vital.
To this end Ian has entered into the Cent Cols, an enormous challenge for anyone taking part but considerably more so when you have been through a physically demanding recovery process.
The Cent Cols is a cycling tour which takes in the breathtaking views of the Alps, with one small hitch - you have to cycle to the top!
The tour requires every rider to cycle approximately 120 miles a day, an average of 10 mountains per day and to heights of around 30,000 metres. The level of fitness required for this is extremely high and everyone gne is wishing him well.
To follow Ian's journey and progress in training or support financially please look at his dedicated page for more information - I'm sure it will make for an enlightening read as September gets closer!
