Shine Walk for Cancer Research Uk

Louisa Mayor completed a 13 mile walk through the night...

Louisa entered the first ever 'Shine Walk' for Cancer Research UK through Manchester city centre.

The route was 13 miles long and started at 10pm on the evening of Saturday 17th & completed at 2am on Sunday 18th April. Louisa and a friend finished this half marathon in a fantastic 4 hours, avoiding the nightlife of Manchester on the way round!

Cancer Research UK are dedicated to providing ground breaking work in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer with the overall aim of saving lives.

Louisa is still collecting her sponsorship but the event overall was aiming to raise over £1 million pounds which is fantastic.
